How it started
Two triathletes walk into the kitchen, embarking on a beautiful, passionate journey filled with food, flavors, and the drive to create healthy products for people and the planet.
The friends experimented and inspired one another until the Nutritarian mission became crystal clear.
2011 ~ 2012 Visionary Dreaming
Curiosity and an obsession with food and nutrition lead to the discovery of the word Nutritarian. The word, and book title, had already been registered as a trademark. I decided that working in unison with author and fellow health visionary, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, made sense. The wordpress food blog called TheNutritarian.org was created and a myriad of information on health and food shared. Working and learning from a fortune 500 food company
Fast Lane to Health® evolved into a business that creates tasty, healthy snacks, with no added or refined sugars, using organic and non-gmo ingredients in order to nourish the mind & body while satiating the soul. Sharing what’s healthy and delicious drives Fast Lane to Health® innovation.
Teaching kids how to eat healthy and making waves in the schools with Healthy Schools Campaign. Dreaming healthy queen foodie idea incepted from a Google search on how to become a food critic, likely after watching Ratatouille.
2013 - 2015 Risking, Doing, and Learning
Started a Wordpress food blog called The Nutritarian.org sharing information on health and food.
My first sales were happening. I was selling veggie muffins. They had bok choy and broccoli with carob chips and black seeds. I was making them for myself. A busy professional and an active competitive triathlete, I wanted more fresh, convenient and nutrient-dense, non-sugar laden food. It seemed like no-one else in the midwest at this time was on the same page, yet I believed we (midwesterners) needed it the most.
2016 - 2017 The Storm
Nick name turned LLC and bootstrapped Fast Lane to Health was officially real. Thanks to guidance from excellent mentors and supportive friends and family, plus years of testing and experimentation lead to what is now four flavors of yummy superfood snacks.
2018 - 2020 Blooming
Love, sweat, and time, including more of the initial steps lead to consistent customer and sales growth over time. Products have evolved into cookies, baking mixes, a savory line of raw snacks and creative spice mixes. We continue to emphasize best quality ingredients, freshness, flavor, and nutrition. We see ourselves as the better choice for people and the planet.
2021-2023 Real Time
Farmers Markets and grassroots marketing is hard, but real. Reinvigorating and making new connections and contributions to the community is meaningful and rewarding. We are expanding to hotel and restaurant menus while building a strong, tight knight kitchen, tech, and sales team.
